GALIBI KIDS CLUB
2015 is the date of the first step taken in order to realize a dream. We wanted the kids who visit our dargah to feel more connected to each other by doing things together while their parents perform their prayers. We wanted them to love each other and love and adopt our dargah. We dreamed of kids who hold their parents’ hands and take them to the dargah. We hoped that they would learn the religion by observing the practises of their darwish uncles and aunts, brothers and sisters and by getting involved in this live sufi culture. In order to realize our dream, we started to organize small workshops and activities, topics of which range from science and technology to art and psychology. Thus, the word “ complex” in our title was now well-deserved. We had become both a house of prayer and a house of education.

Firstly, the kids chorus went onto stage, singing hymns to our older audience. The first shots of our togetherness were taken during this concert. Then we were given a classroom full of toys and educational materials. We had a chance of having a closer look at the life of small insects through a magnifying glass and at their cells through a microscope.
We had imaginary visits at various sides of our beautiful world using the globe at class. Later, a park was built in our complex. We initiated lessons outside; practised a number of traditional sports, played mangala, shot arrows, played tug of war… Then came the parkour games. We were together the whole Sunday every week. Especially during Ramadan, we organized a special Ramadan program for kids for weekends.
We started to call ourselves “Galibi Kids” after our first staged performance, and still continue to call out our name after every performance we stage. Days went by and now our name has become a brand. Galibi Kids T-shirts and hats are being distributed to Galibi kids all around the country.
GALIBI KIDS MAGAZINE
We have started publishing “Galibi Kids Magazine” in 2018 and entrusted our souvenirs of solidarity to it. Since our establishment, we have been working together, taking steps forward to pursue our dream.
